Noise London loading it with Yamaha

Conveniently situated in London’s Great Portland Street, Noise London is an independent audio post-production dubbing facility that has just made a heavy investment in Yamaha digital mixing desks. “We’ve installed a DM 2000, an O2R96 and an O1V,” said clearly delighted Senior Dubbing Mixer Karl Mainzer.

“We went for Yamaha because we’re familiar with their equipment, and they’re easy to use,” he continued. In fact Mainzer had used one of Yamaha’s O2R’s for 10 years which convinced him that Yamaha’s ergonomics were second to none.

The studio will use the Yamaha desks for producing high end broadcast, film and surround sound productions for a range of independent TV and film companies, and of course for their near neighbours the BBC in Portland Place, for whom they do a range of film work.

“We’re also looking to produce 5.1 music mastering for TV and film using the desks,” said Mainzer, “which we’ll do using Pro ToolsÓ and Fairlight, both of which work extremely well with the Yamaha software.”

All the desks were supplied by leading pro-audio specialists HHB, with the studio carrying out the installation work themselves. “We were very pleased to be associated with such an interesting project,” said Steve Angel, HHB’s Sales Director.

Current projects for the studio include “Sad To Be Gay" for the BBC and "Is Torture A Good Idea?" a Channel 4 'Dispatches' for Shine Productions.

All in all, high quality mixing with Yamaha ensures Noise London stays at the forefront of digital mixing technology.
