Artist1D

Artist1D is an optical interface for the PM1D Digital Audio Mixing System. It was developed and manufactured by RIEDEL in collaboration with YAMAHA. Using fiber-optic cable, Artist1D can transmit audio and control signals bidirectionally between DSP1D (the DSP engine of PM1D) and CS1D (the control surface).

The use of fiber-optic cable allows for a range of up to 500m when sending and receiving audio signals. It is possible to manage up to 80 channels with various controls. High reliability is also realized by various means including the use of AUX fiber-optic cable and compatibility with PM1D's mirror mode.

• Artist1D units placed at FOH and stage positions. Using fiber-optic cable, these units can transfer audio and control signals between CS1D and DSP1D.
• Bidirectionally-transmitted PM1D audio signals can consist of up to 160 channels.
• Long-distance, bidirectional transmission of CS1D/DSP1D, RS232 and word clock control data.
• High reliability of Aux fiber optic output, mirror-mode compatibility and dual power supply
• Compact 1U-size body for easy installation / transportation with numerous indicators and wide range of terminals
