Both the DME 64N/24N and DME Designer have been updated to version 1.1—with significant new features and control enhancements.
Main Features of Version 1.10
WAV File Player
This component lets you play back WAV audio files, manually or automatically at user-specified times (in tandem with the Event Scheduler function below). A convenient WAV File Manager window lets you organize your WAV files in a playlist and allows you to specify number of
repeats and interval times.
Event Scheduler
This is a major convenience for shops, restaurants and other commercial facilities that require automated, unattended broadcasting on a daily schedule. Virtually any event or processing task of the DME-N can be programmed for automatic execution at any specified time. The stable
internal clock ensures trouble-free, accurate replication of the events.
Built-in SPX-Series Effects
This block replicates the processing power of Yamaha’s famed SPX-Series effects units. Four separate instances of the effect can be used simultaneously in a single DME 64N/24N, and each features a total of 43 different presets—including reverb, echo, chorus, delay, amp simulator, and many more—which can be instantly called up at any time and tweaked in fine detail with the comprehensive parameters. Since the SPX effects are handled by a dedicated DSP, separate from the other component processing, there is no drain on main processor.
DME Control Integration with PM5D
Selected parameters of the DME 64N/24N can be controlled directly from a PM5D Digital Audio Mixing Console, for seamless, efficient operation in any application. This feature is especially useful for “hands-off,” remote operation—for example, using it to remotely tweak the GEQ setting during a sound check, when the optimum listening position is far away from the
unit itself.
New Features of DME Designer
Parameter Import from DME-N unit
All parameter settings on a connected DME-N unit can be imported to the DME Designer for inspection and further editing.
New Parameter Link modes—Global Link and Local Link
Now you can select the mode that fits your application—Global, for linking several DME-Ns together, or Local, for linking with a single DME-N. The procedures for executing parameter links have also been simplified.
Analyze function
This new feature checks the configuration for possible problems in compiling settings and data to be transferred to connected DME-N units, and conveniently allows for the compiling results to be done offline.
Show Signal Delay and Auto Delay Compensation functions
The Show Signal Delay function displays the delay introduced by each component in the system and by each line of connection. Auto Delay Compensation is provided to automatically cancel the effects of such delays in the system, and ensure optimum operation accuracy.
File Backup
All data on the DME-N unit can be transferred to computer for archive purposes. The saved data is automatically encrypted for maximum security—ensuring that no unauthorized user can inspect or edit the data.
Event Logger window
This new window allows you to create a list of all event log data related to your DME-N and the communication with the peripherals.
