Deciding which of Yamaha’s digital mixer range is best for your application is the most important decision of the buying process. Not only do the channels, facilities, processing power and user interfaces vary between models, but these, of course, all have a direct effect on the price of each console.

Yamaha wants its customers to buy the right console for both their budget and chosen applications. A massive live event would be too much for an LS9, for example. But, similarly, using a PM5D to mix a small band would be pointless - an application for which the LS9 is ideal.

In order to make the buying decision much easier for customers, the Commercial Audio web site now features a video hosted by product specialist Arthur Koll, in which he looks at the Yamaha PM5D, DSP5D, M7CL, and LS9 consoles.

In the video, Arthur looks at the facilities and user interfaces of each console, explaining the differences between them and what effect these have on price and the user experience.

Arthur also looks at the potential for expanding the channel count of each console, computer connectivity via Yamaha’s Studio Manager software, wireless control and connection to digital audio networks.

All in all, the video ensures that making the correct choice of Yamaha digital console is now much easier for prospective purchasers.
