Yamaha Commercial Audio and LMC Audio Systems have announced that Middlesex based audio-visual and corporate event specialist FIRST NETWORK has taken delivery of the 150th M7CL digital mixing console to be sold in the UK.

Launched at PLASA last Year The award winning M7CL soon found a unique place in the market thanks to it’s uniquely accessible control surface , modest footprint and highly competitive price point. Sitting comfortably between the studio/installation oriented DM and O series, and the flagship live mixing consoles PM1D and PM5D, It's ease of operation immediately converted many engineers who, prior to the advent of M7CL had been reluctant to work in the digital domain . This coupled with an impressive feature set, excellent sonic quality, and up to eight built in configurable signal processors has made the console hugely popular in a wide variety of demanding audio settings including the Theatre, corporate, live sound, Church , touring productions and install sectors.

First Network’s Dennis Georgiou said, “We provide intelligently specified, leading edge equipment from one of the largest and most up to date rental stocks available. This strength, combined with a high level of technical support and a true partnership approach with our suppliers, has assured us of an outstanding reputation for quality and service. Yamaha is generally held as being, not only the pioneer of audio technology, but the innovator and leader of digital audio mixing consoles, that’s why we have allied our growing business so closely with the Yamaha brand.”

Established in 1992 First Network has established an international reputation for excellence by providing high quality and uniquely creative audio visual solutions to the corporate conference and events industry. Their direct client list includes many household names and blue-chip organizations.

Steve King of LMC Audio Systems comments “We are genuinely excited by the Yamaha M7CL digital mixing desk . It's the digital mixing solution a large sector of the industry has been waiting for. With the introduction of M7CL Yamaha has developed, what is in our minds, is the most intuitive user interface of any digital console available in the market today . First Network are a company who constantly lead the way by investing in the very latest cutting edge equipment. I knew that M7CL was exactly the right product to introduce to them. A demonstration was arranged at First Network's impressive Northolt premises and they immediately recognised the value of owning the M7CL - and the service it would provide to their clients. LMC Audio's relationship with Yamaha Commercial Audio is a happy and long standing one. Yamaha continue to develop exciting and innovative products that we as independent pro audio reseller's can place within all sectors of our marketplace. Our business with Yamaha has grown significantly over the last few years particularly in the areas of digital mixing solutions.”

Yamaha’s Karl Christmas comments “Apart from price and sound quality, key to the success of the M7CL is without doubt its ease of operation. We are seeing them spec'd for a whole host of livesound applications. The increase in demand this year for the M7CL outstripped our forecasts to the extent that we have been forced to airfreight large numbers in from Europe and Japan. Good news for Virgin Atlantic but also good news for the sound engineers who've used one and have been requesting them for shows”.
